I got a hair cut on Saturday. Nathan took this picture of me, I was hoping to be able to recreate the style on my own.
After my haircut I stopped by a place and got a pedicure. I was sitting in the very last chair just enjoying the fact that my feet were getting cleaned up and pretty, after the winter skin was scraped off (and I do mean scraped!). Then in walked an older woman she was in her 70's. She had a fun color on her toenails, and I hoped to still be fun like that in my old age. Then it happened. They rolled up her pants to get to her calves (they exfoliate your calves) and I saw it. She still had hair on her legs! I was so sad, for so many years now I had looked forward to the fact that when I was an old lady I would no longer have to shave my legs. I was wrong, some ladies are still hairy. Aging is so crazy. Mike and I were a little worried this year, we had a friend just go to bed one night and she never woke up. She died of hardening of the arteries and never knew she had a problem. She was in much better shape than Mike and I.
So we both went and had physicals last month. We were truly shocked when we found out that we were much healthier than we had imagined. Our cholesterol, and blood sugar levels were still good. My lower blood pressure number was high, so I'm on a little pill to try to get it down. I also got all of the lady tests done. All is well but, I haven't received my mammogram report back. That whole mammogram thing really reminds me that I'm aging. There was some "funny joke thing" going around the internet about 11 or 12 years ago. It gave suggestions on how to prepare for a mammogram... like lie down on the garage floor and have your husband slowly drive over your breast, or slamming you breast in the refrigerator door a few times, I don't remember the rest. Oh my, they were so right, I forgot just how much they squish you. The mammographer even had a spatula in the room to help get the breast all spread out to be squished flat. The day they come at me with a spatula is going to be pretty scary! In all seriousness they are a good thing and it goes pretty fast so I don't want to discourage anybody from going.
As for the new hair style this was me the next day. I could not style my hair the way my stylist did. No surprise, I just don't look as cute! The princess is happy and smiling in this picture, but it almost looks like she is sad. Then as Steven was flying her around the room, he flew her over her grandpa who was chillin' on the couch, and she went in for a kiss! I was way jealous, it is awesome when she gives out kisses!

cute hair, I really like it!
Nice hair and nails. How old do I have to be to take time out for that!
Well, here I am in the middle of the night, reading this before tomorrow's wildness and next week's trial, and you got me laughing pretty hard, which is not that easy to do these days. I think next week, I oughta just take myself to a spa and see if they can somehow shake me loose from things. But I do not think that a mammogram would have that effect . . .
