Nativity set.....

So this is one of my Nativity sets. It's fun because the grand kids can play with it. Actually, my grand baby has one of her own and she plays with the figures already:-)




Her first Christmas how fun is that going to be, I've been buying toys again!!!

Holiday Decorations.........

My friend Ana is obsessed with Christmas. She just loves to have her house decorated and be inside enjoying it, she loves the happy warm feeling it gives her. She is a crazy bargain shopper and saves money just to be able to by things for 75% to 90% off after Christmas. She has some very nice stuff,
she has a tree in every kids room and Christmas bedding on their beds. Her home is beautiful during the holidays. Well when she came here she said where are your Christmas decorations and helped me get some stuff out. Then I caught on fire after she left and finished. My dad called me while I working on it and ask me to post pictures on my blog so he could see. So here you go dad!

Movies......

I have watched 2 movies as of late that were interesting. First is Doctor Jivago I think it was made a year after I was born. When I was a kid they played it on PBS every few years but I never saw it. Well I rented it and watched all 3 hours and 19 minutes of it, actually it has an intermission and stuff in it and I didn't watch that:-) It was alright, it had some gorgeous snow scenes in it. The story didn't strike me as passionately as it should have to justify adultery. But it was during the Russian Revolution, and it did make me very grateful to have lived in this time, where your spouse can't be drug off for years to fight and possibly be separated for the rest of our lives. I went to see "Lars and the Real Girl" at the theater it was such a sweet movie. It was a little sad, it has funny stuff in it too. By the end it left you feeling good about people in general and realize that we just don't really know people and their personal struggles. I would recommend this movie and if it's to late to see it at the theater, then remember to rent it. It was good.

So Mike is officially old today! He is now in his late 40's. I laughed and told him that he left on Wed. to go to Connecticut in his mid 40's and is returning an old man in his late 40's!

Surgery.........

Well this is more of me than you would probably ever want to see, but it's one of the picture from my MRI. So the bulge is showing down toward the bottom of my neck. Kinda in the middle of this picture.

When I went to the neurosurgeons appointment he was kinda freaky. He was just down right weird, but he explained what was wrong with me so that I understood it. I have a large bulging disc, it bulges out into my spinal cord and flattens out like a mushroom hitting my nerves, it pokes out further on the right side which explains all the pain I have on my right side. Crazy thing is when I was in Texas, at the hospital in Longview, one of my very best girlfriends from high school was there with her mom in intensive care 4 rooms down from my mom. Well her husband had the same disc problem I had, and had the surgery and he was great. So I felt better about the whole surgery thing. I thought I was going to have the operation on Nov. 30th, but I found out yesterday that I can't have it until Dec. 18th:-(

It's been Crazy......

Well where do I start? I suppose on Halloween. Issy and Beatrice were both Lady Bugs and way to cute! But also on Halloween my mother had the "mother load" of health problems hit her. Are you ready for her list; a big stroke, a twilight diabetic coma, a blockage in her kidney that came with a huge infection. She told my dad she didn't want to go to the hospital, but dad and I told her we wanted her to go anyways. We have learned through all of this that when a person has a stroke or any other severe heath problems, they don't think straight and don't want to go to the hospital. Take them anyway!
My mom is doing better. But it was pretty bad for a while. She was surrounded with Family who loves her in intensive care. This is her sister Aunt Brenda.

I had to come home from Texas on Wednesday in time to go to a doctor appointment that I had to wait for forever to get into. I was sad to leave my mom still in the hospital. So Mike surprised me by bringing Ana in for a long weekend. He's a sweet guy!

I have to wait to get Halloween pictures and family picture from the weekend. We had a big family gathering on the weekend it was really nice.

Erin and I had some friends from Arizona come and visit. They took these pictures of Issy and sent them to us. Issy is so fun, she just makes me happy!
