A quick get away....

So Mike thought he would be home this week, but found out on Thursday that he had to leave on my birthday. We had planned to go off for one or two nights maybe to Salt Lake or Park City. So we were sitting around with the boys on Friday afternoon planning to go a little earlier and trying to figure out where to go. Then the boys said what about Vegas. And I thought why not. So we babysat the little princesses on Friday night while their parent s went to a dinner. When they got home Erin kicked off her shoes. We were talking about their evening out and Mike caught Issy trying on her moms shoes. To cute:-) Then we were up the next morning on our way. It was a 5 hour drive and we didn't stay in a casino. I like it so much better when we are not in a casino, no chinging and no cigarette smoke! the place mike reserved was right next door to a huge outlet mall, that had a clothing store that I love. I actually had a 40% off coupon that they sent me online. So we were at the Hilton Garden in for less than an hour and I was shopping! I saved $90. It was fun. Then I got Mike to go down to the old part of town and go to Fremont street. Mike liked the jazz player guy, and in this picture he was playing his sax at Mike.

It is really cool there, it is millions of lights to make this great big video screen canopy. The funny thing was I went one other time and saw the same song and video.
It was a fun get away really laid back.

We went to Serendipity's again. We had been to a movie earlier and I had had a lot of popcorn. So we shared the hot dog and a frozen hot chocolate. We were smarter this time and shared. They serve the hot dogs in a fun way. There was a more elaborate hot dog with ton's of toppings guacamole and all, but we didn't venture there. We weren't that hungry we didn't eat the fries and I only ate half of my hot dog. That frozen hot chocolate fills you up!

We saw people get this when we were their in April and thought it looked like fun. So I made Mike take a picture with it. He thinks I'm a dork:-)

For any Facebook people out there. This is Mike "farming" behind me, and me goofing around waiting for him to finish!

I always have to go to the Bellagio and see their garden. It's always so pretty. Mike is pretty cute too.

They have the coolest shopping there. this was a window in Tiffany's the bubbles were moving
and I thought it was fun.

I had to use the facilities, and Mike was going to have to wait. So I handed him a couple of bucks and told him to see how long he could keep it going. He did pretty good at one point he was up $2.50. He played a little longer, there was a slightly older couple sitting next to him and they were getting excited, at his little gains. I mean $2 and a half dollars would buy a soda:-)

Then Mike made me sit and take a picture so it looked even, but I didn't put any money in it.
We had a very nice relaxing break, and Mike told me we needed to do it more often, I agree.
