Now on to Christmas....

Well it has been a great week. I am feeling really great, mike and I are very happy, and would do this over again!

I have decorated my bar with 3 different themes. We are having a big fun Christmas party. I'm trying to get some decorations together, to demo. Inexpensive fun decorations. So I hit the DI (thrift store).

These ornaments we bought last year in our big Target After Christmas shopping spree. And the Platter they are on was only $3 at DI It is very pretty, but you can't see it now.


   Then I got a little red and white theme going. I bought a bunch of random candle holders, and glasses at DI. Pretty Christmas balls and candles are great.

This was a strange looking cup but it spoke to me, and I love it with red hots in it! The glass was .50 cents and the red hots $1.

Then I found this punch bowl, for $10 it has the cups and a pedestal. I found cute blue snowflakes at the Dollar store, and threw a strand of lights in it. And the little snow man sled I paid $1, all at DI.

I found the little carolers that are also a candle holder for $1. So I hope I can set it up at the church on tables and make it fun! Nothing like some good cheap fun:-)

Thanksgivng.........

So it is Thanksgiving night the festivities are over and I am pooped! I went shopping and spent $130 on groceries for Thanksgiving dinner. I cooked for 2 days and tried out some new recipes. All to eat 2 ounces at dinner.

But it was good! Except for the carrot thing yuck! What is on my plate? I was naughty and had a little garlic mashed potatoes, a spinach roll (I didn't eat it all), and a little turkey, plus the yucky carrot. 

But here is a pretty orange and sweet potato dish I made. 

And very tasty spinach ball appetizers... before they were cooked.

The family. We missed Erin, Jon and the girls. They spent the holiday with his family. We had Mikes sister, brother-in-law, niece, and Jessica our friend.

Anytime Mikes family gets together they start massaging each other. And Char is cute in her green shoes, green phone, and green Slytherin jacket:-)

And Jessica came early and helped me cook she was a big help, because I was winding down!

So we had a nice Thanksgiving. Very relaxed and now we are sitting on the couch watching a Christmas movie. Life is good!

Issy had a sleep over.......

Ana went home, we were sad.....  But  one of Mike's airline friend hooked her up and she flew home in first class!

Nathan took a face book picture with my camera so I am using it. He never let's me take a picture of him, but he also never looks at my blog!hahaha

 

Last night Issy came over for a sleep over. Uncle Nate had fun playing with her. I had to go visiting teaching so I left for a while. When I got home her dad had called her and I heard her tell him as I walked in "Gamma go work." I actually love my visiting teaching ladies so it really wasn't work!:-)

Uncle Nate made her a little cookie man.

She liked it a lot.

Issy showed up at my house in this cold weather, with just a little jacket. So we had to go buy her a coat.

While we where at the store we saw a funny little monkey plate. So we got it for Issy and she had her

lunch on it. But she had to have all of the sections filled.

Then we put her new coat on and went out with Papa in the yard. She loves Papa's dancing trees!
Mike has a really great Christmas light display up this year.

Just a week!

 I watched the girls for a couple of days while their dad was at work and their  mom was playing in Vegas. We had a fun time.

Issy fed her sister cheerios.....

And I fed Issy grilled peanut butter and jelly, she loved it!

Then Mike got home and we went out on our date. We went and saw the Christmas Carol movie it was the classic story. But the animation is amazing. I love that story, so I love seeing new versions of it.

Also Mike is at his 5 week mark and has lost 50 pounds, I am at my 6 week mark and lost 40, we are feeling really good. We are happy with our choice:-)

When we got home Mike had a surprise waiting for me. It was Ana.  He brought her in to cheer me up. Plus he does enjoy her Christmas decorating, she has a knack for it.

We went to a little local gingerbread house exhibit. There were some fun little houses and very big ones too.

                          For my Issy, she loves Word World.

Then Sunday the kids came over and we celebrated Mike's birthday. I didn't take one single picture. It had been a long day!

But bright and early Monday morning before Mike took off for his trip I got a birthday picture of him.

Wow  am I behind! So it will be a bunch of picture in this post, and not so many words:-)

The kids went to our ward Halloween party it is awesome. These princesses were the only people Issy would get close too.

We had fun!

I got my fix!

This is the greatest accomplishment this week. The freezer that I have meant to defrost everyday for months. Got defrosted this week. this was major because I had some thick ice buildup on those shelves!

Then I had a follow up appointment this week and this cute guy went with me!

Then we got home that afternoon, and my Princess called me and said "I go your house." I said, "I want you to go my house." she said "OK." so our girls came over for the rest of the day. It was heaven!

This one is just at that perfect baby stage. Happy and laughing, fat and squishy and all over just sweet!

She is at that stage that the sun rises and sets with her momma!

The princess got here and had to do all of her stuff. She is so dang smart, she remembers everything. When I watched her a few weekends ago I bought her a little hello kitty toy. It was cute, but I decided that it was a little to old for her. (The parts were tiny.) So when she left I hid it. She took a couple of trips, and done ton's of things in that almost 3 weeks since she was here. But in the first 5 minutes she was asking for the kitty toy. 

In this picture she is playing "My tea party" with papa. She loves to play the "my" game, "my gamma", "my momma", "my papa." So they were playing "my tea party."

We all enjoyed having the girls here. It's fun to have "girls' in the family. this house is wreaking with testosterone!:-)

Hell and Hero's....

My hero, Mike. I have been pretty sick and he has taken such good care of me. Sitting at the hospital in uncomfortable chairs for hours at a time trying to help me. I have had a some set backs these few weeks. I had a second surgery to correct my problems last Sunday the 18th. A few to many visits to the ER my Doctor operated to get me out of pain. He feels like he found the problem and has fixed it. So things should be good!

I'm on my third week of broth and jell-o, I'm going insane. I'm just trying to keep my eye on the prize! But that prize is getting a little fuzzy!:-)

And now the real hell part is they are building an In-N-Out Burger in my town five minutes away!

This is my weakness. Burger King, McDonald's, Wendy's', I can take them or leave them.

But this is going to be a test of my resolve!

Then Great friends. My friend came to visit and brought me one of her favorite kinds of water. She said I brought you breakfast, lunch, and dinner!hahaha It sure does

seem like it. But I'm grateful to good friends who help me laugh.

(I'm really missing my girls. It's been over 2 weeks since I have seen them, I'm missing them worse than food!)
