Yummy Thanksgiving.......

Mikes dad is in town so we all went to his sisters house for Thanksgiving Dinner, it was also the Father -in -laws B-day. We had a great time and lot's of yummy food. I took a few pictures to share.


This is Mike's nephew and his wife (holding the princess) and their cute little guy Scooter. Notice that Scooter grew his hair to match his dads:-)

My sis-in-law has an awesome yard. They have a deck that goes out over the river. The princess really liked it.

They also have a super cool little bridge, the princess also enjoyed it.

This would be the princess running up a hill with her ever so watchful uncle taking care of her.

We were all just chillin while the S-I-L and her family were busy making our dinner. What service!

It's funny because Nate only sings when he thinks he is alone. Oh, but I did see him actually singing "Happy Birthday" to his Granddad.

Then after a long fun visit we went home and Jessica came over. She had gone to somebody elses home and so we met up last night for a Christmas movie, Wii Bowling, and some more turkey and Pie!


We had a great Thanksgiving. Hope all you did too!

I'm trying to get some pictures up.....

I told a few people that I would get my Christmas decoration pictures up and I am having problems doing that. So I thought I could give you a little preview.

So when Erin was pregnant with The Princess we didn't know what she was having yet and bought a cute little girl hat and purse set. We also bought a cute little boy reindeer hat and booties set. We came across that hat and purse this year. The Princess was over last night so we put it on her.
I LOVE how she is holding the purse. Just like a little old lady, tooooo cute!

This is what I have on my kitchen lights. I love that shade of green!

And this is a little Santa globe I have. When I post the entire entrainment center picture you will never notice the little guy. So this is his moment.

I thought this Santa was so cute on his belly. I just got him this year. I have few nativity sets I will show soon. I LOVE nativity sets. I just don't have a lot of super cool ones, but I am working on it.

Ana went home....

So I laughed at the "do not disturb" sign at the hotel. I guess it is a kinder gentler sign:-) I mentioned that we went to a toy store. Well the Princess loves dog toys. Here was a whole wall full of them.

And then a big stack of her favorite stuffed doggies, dalmatians. We took her to the Disney Store and out of all of the stuffed Nemo's, Sulley's, she latched on to the dalmatians.

When we got home Mike had picked up some new bedding to surprise me. I liked it!

Monday we went to lunch with Mike before he headed out for Newark to be interviewed by Sony. I'm bummed he didn't take his camera, because it was a professional interview. And they had a makeup artist fix him up. That would have been great to see. I guess I'll just have to wait until Feb. that is when the interview will play.

Ana is obsessive compulsive about Christmas. No, she just LOOOOOOVES Christmas. So she got me started on my decorating before she left. She has a new name now it is "Christmas Queen." I will post pictures later.

We found some random things while shopping. Coke Christmas balls.......

....and popcorn shirts. Look how small they start out the blue one looks like a doll shirt.

And you know how people put stickers on their car to represent their families (I think it is crazy dangerous personally) a dad, a mom, and how ever many kids they have. Well on the way to the airport we saw a "cat lady car" a real CAT LADY it had her and 4 cat's!!! I thought it was so funny.

So Ana has gone home tonight. Her kids are thrilled to have her home. We had fun, and I will miss her. But hey, Thanksgiving is around the corner and Mikes dad is coming!

Our trip.....

Let me just say even though we weren't gambling or anything Vegas is not a relaxing get away. The second day we went and ate at the Paris Buffet. then we went to the MGM where Ana took a picture with the lion. The live lions were there and Ana took pictures of them. We laughed because they had a huge chew bone like you would give a dog.

This is Ana getting the shot above. As we were walking away people where seeing the lions and their eyes would light up and they would smile and point. I told Ana, "We are weird creatures, we get sooo excited over an animal in a cage." It's kind of sad that we could put any kind of animals in a cage, even skunks, and we would be so excited to look at them. I just mean it's sad because we don't see animals out in the wild anymore.

Then we went to the M&M store. It's smells like chocolate, and is very colorful.

We also went to the Coke store. But there is nothing fun to take a picture of there. then we had been at it so long we went back to the hotel room and had to just get off our feet. We stayed there for a few hours. then we headed out for the "old strip."

This is the pool at "The Golden Nugget." It looks like so much fun. Just sitting in your lounge chair in the water, watching the fish and sharks swim around.

There was a big canopy covering what used to be a street. They light it up once an hour for a music show. At the other end of this picture you can see something lit up on it. Well they were having a world fire person competition. A woman set a world record while we were there. But they had there pictures and stats up on the screen during the competition. We watched it a little while, but there were so many people around we couldn't see much. So as we were walking away there was a fireman that had just competed. He was hot and sweaty and had ripped his shirt off. And did I say "ripped?" Oh my gosh, Ana and I had to walk away! They didn't used to make firemen that looked like that!!!!

So they blast the a song or a medley of songs and play a video to it every hour. We came up at the end of one when we got there. But the one we saw was "Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie"

Everybody just stops what they are doing and watches. It's pretty cool. I could have watched for hours. It was a blast.

So then we went back to the room and crashed. We stayed out late both nights. It was not a restful get away but it was fun. The next day we went to Ceasars Palace, and to FAO Schartz toy store, and ate tacos at the Cheesecake Factory. Went back through the garden at the Belogio, and drove home for Mike birthday. It was a fun trip.

Vegas Baby......

I posted about my great husband in the previous post. this is one of the reasons. Life has been pretty hectic these past few months. Fun but hectic. So my brains were getting scrambled, and I couldn't clear it out. Mike brought Ana into town to play with me. I picked her up at 11:00PM Wednesday night. And we were up and at em' Thursday morning. We hopped in the car and drove to Vegas. We were having a nice drive. Road trips are good to clear the mind. Singing songs and talking, and just enjoying the open road. We stopped in St. George and ran to the DI looking at books. Then grabbed an Inn & Out burger. The burgers were so good and we were on our way again. I forgot one little thing GAS! I didn't realize that I had forgotten to get gas until I was almost out, and had passed every gas station possible. I called mike in a panic, my gas mileage shows on the car. I coasted on every little hill possible. I had eighteen miles to the next station and fumes in my tank. I slowed the car down from 80 to 60 trying to get the best mileage possible. And we held our breath and prayed our way into the gas station. But we made it, I only had 1/2 a gallon of gas left in my car. We were happy again and drove on into Vegas and got our room. We stayed at one of Mike Marriott's, I love not staying in a casino. You are not blasted with cigarette smoke and chinging slots every time you leave. We started out walking through the Paris Casino, I know this one better because I've been to a few conventions there.

But we quickly crossed over to the Belogio. They had started putting up their Christmas decorations. We loved these gifts they were just so pretty.

I have been to the Belogio in the past. It is very pretty and fancy. They have a garden area. I know there is a fancier name for it, but I can't think of it. when I have gone i n the summer months there has only been flowers there. but man they went all out for fall. This tree man would talk to people and his eyes would shift from side to side.

They have tons of flowers and plants all around. they were so pretty.

There was a big scarecrow.

They had a tunnel. It had these great water arches going across the arch all down the tunnel.

We loved this cool tree.

And they had wood sprites.

This is the glass sculpture in the entry of the Belogio. It looks super cool, but I wouldn't want to be under all that glass in a earthquake!

We caught a fountain show. It was to the song "I'm proud to be an American" and after it was over we were so pumped up that we wanted to go join the army!

Ana couldn't help but be just a little naughty passing through the casinos:-)

In honor of Mike we had dinner that night at Margaritaville.

As I was taking a picture of Ana. This guy came up and offered to take our picture. I told him thanks anyway. so he went and got in the picture. He was having a really good time in Vegas.

Every time I go to Maragritaville with Mike he gets the "cheeseburger in paradise." And I always see the nachos and think, one day we need to get those. So we got them this trip.

We had a fun time. If you know Jimmy Buffet songs, he has his restaurant set up for fun. Once an hour a bikini clad woman pops out off a big volcano and slides down the volcano into a huge picture of margarita colored (with lights) water. then a huge fish hook pulls her out and she swings out over the bar. That would gross me out if she dripped in my drink. but it is a lot of fun to watch and sing the songs that go along with the show.

Then we went back to our room and crashed!
